So, I am trying to replace my front wheel sensors on my 2002 V6 FFV XLT 2WD and the sensor seems to have gotten so rusted its impossible to budge. I actually cracked the plastic that the screw sat in, so I'm a little leery of trying to pry it out and breaking the whole damn plastic top off. I have tried squirting WD40 all around it and used a hammer against the lower arm in hope a little vibration would break it free. But its hopeless. Any ideas? Anyone?
So just break it all apart? I’m attacking it from the rear of the wheel since it’s sitting right there. I figure taking the wheel off isn’t going to help. If the rest of the plastic and wires break away, I’m still stuck with the metal shaft in the hole. Any tips you can give me?
