07 5.4 3V to 07 6.8 3V Swap
First off yes I'm serious and yes I've researched.
My goal: Swap out my blown 5.4 for a 6.8 3V and swap in a 4R100. The reason that I want to do the 4R100 is because I have a built E4OD that's mostly 4R100 in my shop from an earlier F-150 that I'd like to do a case swap on.
I know that the biggest hangup for this swap is the electronics and that's what I'm really looking for direction on how to tackle this. Is it possible to tune the factory ECU to run the new engine/transmission combo? I talked to 5 star tuning and they said I need to run the factory V10 transmission but that would have needing to buy a 5R110.
Has anyone done a successful 3V V10 swap yet?
Anyone know of a tuner that I can talk to to see if this is even possible?
