PAC AP4-FD21 Question non Sony

Has anyone used the PAC AP4 in a XLT with the 8" Sync3 with 7 speaker system. I've read that it will work, and I've also read it will only work with the Sony amp based system. Anybody ???

No, but according to Crutchfield if you have a XLT with 8" screen and the 7 speaker set up the PAC will work.

Crutchfield can be hit or miss with their info so don`t take it as being the truth.

If you go to the PAC website, the info that I previously mentioned is the same on the PAC website.

If you don`t have a factory sub woofer then this PAC interface will not work for you.

Not that it helps the OP, but this has been my experience as well.
Crutchfield said that I didn't need an antenna adapter to put a double DIN Pioneer into my Mustang GT. False. Local Best Buy installers told me that I did and pulled one off the rack for me. Install easy after that.

One of the guys on the F150 site who has the 8" screen in an XLT without Sony and with center channel has used the PAC AP4 and it worked. I guess I'll be the Guinea Pig.
