Fan blade question, why lopsided?
I am rebuilding my sons F150 351w engine from his 91 truck. While I was cleaning and painting all the parts to go back on I noticed that the fan blades are not evenly spaced, I almost looks like one is missing, is this normal?. There are 5 blades and nothing is broken but it sure looks like it should have 6 blades for balance. Since the fan looks to me to be off balance should it go on a special way?

I wouldn't worry about it. Mine seems to have larger spaces between some of the blades as well, and the cooling system works fine with no balance problems. It just looks weird.
