Generally it is the aluminum shafts that are junk if dropped or dented. Aluminum loses a lot of strength in that instance.

We don't have enough information to determine exactly what will and will not work for your truck. Any suspension mods will cause the length of a custom shaft to vary.

Either find a parts truck in a wrecking yard with the same cab and bed as your truck, or take the broken driveshaft (no need to take the truck) to the driveline shop that is 30 miles away and have it repaired with new and better parts.
