I'm working on my power mirrors and they still don't budge. New switch, fuse is good. Got power to the fuse, not sure how to check to see if there's power to the switch. With the meter on it I can touch every connection and it's all dead. Not sure where to go from here. All the wiring looks good all the way to the door grommet.
Power to the switch only when ignition key is on or in accessory?
Volt/Ohm meter or 12v test light at the switch. If not I would suspect a break in the wire from the fuse box to the switch and an ohm meter would verify that.

Haha! Yes, I thought of that after the first round of tests. Good thinkin! Key was in the ON position and still no power.

Thanks! I'll triple check it again today, but sticking a meter in any and going to all others had no power.

No, this is a new truck. PO said they worked until he got them wet with a swipe of rain from the wipers, which probably means they've never worked since it was built.

Exactly that. Nothing at all from both mirrors. They're tow mirrors that flip inward. I assume they aren't supposed to work when folded inward, right? To be sure, I had them folded out when testing.
Thanks for the responses guys. You can't beat this forum for a helping hand when the frustration builds to impossible levels.
If neither one does anything (makes any noise) it is most likely- fuse, broken wire, bad connection at driver side switch. They should work out or in. I'll go check mine to make sure for u.

i went through the same thing, in my case was a bad switch... you need to put your meter or test light ground on a good frame ground to verify power at the switch. I just found a good bolt nearby to use, and not one on the door itself...
