Been searching a couple days.... bought a SW-6352, only to find out this is for the NON-Auto headlights (full manual on/off control).
My Van surely has the auto system...... If you had the top slider flag switch sitting anywhere from 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock the AUTOLAMP DELAY system delays the lights shutting off.
Neither TASCA nor even RockAuto have a PN listed for the auto headlight switch.
I can live without that function..... certainly others have hit this wall. Tasca shows an option "auto dimmer" switch as F29Z11654B. Searchs for this show a completely different system than what my 93 Aero has in it.
Anyone know the proper PN? I've not torn into this dash yet, as I've got to finish another car rebuild before I can take the AERO off the road.
Nobody been down this road? Well perhaps the switch is standard and the AUTO function is all solid state relays/ECU handled. I guess I'll find out when I get it torn apart......
Sorry, no experience with auto headlights in the Aerostar. But in previous cars that had them, the auto headlight switch is definitely different from the standard. So I would try to find something similar on another vehicle in the salvage yard, such as an Explorer, to see if it will fit.
