really good looking huh, as in the truck? Then I will fully agree haha. But I did read your thread before hand and it was great. I will probably be going with aftermarket wheels. Ive got 4 different places getting me prices for springs, shocks, and 4.3 gears. I will hopefully make a decision soon gotta try and look for some more salvage yards before I pull the trigger on all new. quick question how much rougher of a ride is it with the x springs up front?
I've X codes up front, and ATS springs in rear. New Bilsteins all around. Hellwig 7878 AS also. A bit harsher ride, but still very good, and much tighter handling. I'd never go back. Go V-code if you're concerned. I only went X code as I know this is going to be Cummins converted in the near future as part of my overall plan. ...though this V10 isn't a bad thing to keep for a while.

Well, my EX may be a little better looking than me, but it's much younger!
Be sure about the tire size before you make the move on gears, the V-10 loves to rev and makes it's best power at high RPM so deep gears are it's best friend. Try to keep the effective ratio somewhere around the 4.30 sweet spot. My 35"s and 4.88s calculate out to 4.39 and it pulls the 41', 11,300lb TT well. Expect some rear squat with the TT hitched, the stock single rate rear springs don't have very much arch to start with and will drop down with a decent tongue weight. My TT has 1860lbs of tongue weight and that gets my modded B codes to drop a few inches for sure, air bags are on my wish list.
I did my spring swap at 70k miles, so my stockers weren't worn and it still rode pretty good but could bottom out the fronts on bigger bumps and dips. I went with modded OEM X/B codes, I add the top B code overload leaf to the new X codes and did the typical B mod as well as two cut down sections of the factory traction bar and F-350 blocks. The new ride is very firm, but not "harsh" in my opinion, but I like a truck to feel like a truck. Stock X codes have worked out very well for many EX owners who are happy with the ride.
