What's a "brodozer"?

A "brodozer" is a lifted truck that serves no purpose but to look cool, so we can wear "flatbiller" hats, and go "mallcrawling" with giant "C stickers". They're generally heavy modified, and may actually perform worse at many of the things they were modified for.

The 450 in the OP, meets that stereotype pretty well. Wheels and tire that wreck it's towing ability. Height that prevents it from towing gooseneck or 5th wheels. And far too big and heavy for anything off road.

Might look cool, but everyone is just going to point, laugh, and say "Sorry about your wiener."

I know tires hanging out of the fender wells as well as lift kits are all the rage right now. Not sure why?? With fender flares like a Raptor it would be better! And normal height!!
The above video of the truck on its side under the 5ver video mentioned the possibility of a aftermarket wheel failure on the rear axle starting that nightmare. Many aren't rated for proper weight handling and just bought because the owner thought they looked cool JMHO

If it was an Earthroamer overland setup, maybe I could understand. But derating a 450 to a 350 seems counterproductive.

It's obvious what it's worse at.
It has better ground clearance and more traction, thats probably it. But for some, form comes before function, mods don't have to have a benefit aside from improving the looks if it makes the owner happy. Sure he's reduced it's stock capabilities in many ways, but obviously he doesn't care. I'd have a 450 simply for the wider axle and it's better turning radius, no need for the higher towing capacity, you might find that silly, but it doesn't matter to me what you or any other blow hard thinks. It's his money and his truck and that's all that matters.

What I find ridiculous is that we are all here because we share an interest in the same vehicle, yet those that stick to the stock or die philosophy are haters of anyone who modifies their truck. I agree that for most these mods will hurt their trucks intended purpose, but I also believe that a few here are salty out of jealousy. Maybe they can't afford these mods or their other half won't allow the expense, to both I say stop being poor and get a better significant other.

...and a simple military trailer.

I have no problem with improved trucks. Just ruined trucks.

Make you sure you start a thread on it so we'll know the correct way to modify a truck, wouldn't want anyone accidentally building a BRO DOZER

LOL. I'll be giving a tutorial on flatbillers next.

Maybe no one will notice the front brace if we mount an LED light to it?:

Got to lift it high so it doesn't get high centered. "How we get in?"

Not far off from my build, I went 4" and could have gone either way there, other than that, my truck is purpose built and by no means a "Brodozer" lol.

Why not a 285/75/17?

I have nothing against the lifted trucks and the offset rims. Great to look at but in so many cases the vehicle is not well suited for trailers or work. Bumper pull trailers wind up with 12 - 16 inch drop hitches which destroy their weight capability. Most 5th wheel trailers and goosenecks need to be modified and lifted as well in order to get a level pull. And when I lifted my '78 F350 (work truck) and added Mudders I started destroying the crotch of my Levi's on a regular basis. Thanks but the current Super Duties are just a fine height for my use. JMHO

Cooper doesn't offer a 75, they're all 70's.
