Hi all, would like to replace my injectors for the first time. Wondering if anyone has thoughts on these injectors. Not sure if I should go with reman or new. Thank you!
RnD tests all of his and matches them, that will make the truck run better IMO and because of this I consider them better than new. I bought my new Stanadynes off Ebay for 300 shipped with no core charge because I wanted them now without messing with that.
They operated out of Deland FL and ran a Ebay listing last time I looked.
I would go with R&D Performance, he is a member here and is highly recommended here on the forum.
How many miles on the engine? What I have read the Injection Pumps are good for 150K miles. Change the injectors and the higher pop pressure can cause a worm pump to have problems.
$690 for a pump and $305 for the Injectors adds up, but it will run smooth.
I pulled a set of Injectors and the pump at PNP to send in as cores.
I've been really happy with the R&D parts; he uses new nozzles(pintle+seat) which is what wears.
On the other hand, I once bought a set from Pensacola diesel and within 5-10K miles I had one totally dead(just pouring fuel out, no pressure), a couple of leakers, and no pressure consistancy among any of them.
I tested a set of Stage1s after a year in my truck and they were all within a 50-80 psi range, about what they had started at(I had personally checked these myself before and after - note that my gauge is hard enough to read within a 100psi range, so they are more than 'good enough')
I have not bought reman injectors from accurate diesel in years but the injectors were great quality, they were just a real pain in the *** about the cores. I used to buy reman injectors from Pensacola diesel til they started having quality control issues, since then i have only bought brand new injectors usually stanadyne but last time i bought a set of delphi brand off ebay and so far have been very satisfied with them.

That reminds me - if you(or anyone else) has an old set of injectors, as long as the body is intact, R&D IDI Performance will buy them straight up for $10/each($80/set).
It might cost a few $ to ship in a small flat rate box, but even so, it puts old injectors back to use and offsets the cost of new injectors by a bit.
I am using the higher PSI injectors from Conestoga and very happy with them. I would only order fuel system parts for an IDI from Conestoga or R&D, both are reputable.
