Posts don't count here?

I'm the only one here that should be concerned with post counts. With my registration date and number of post, I should only post once every five days to keep my pristine 0.15 posts per day average. Now, if the pen doesn't count them, by gosh, I can post every couple days if I want and be darn proud about it! It's a great idea if they don't count..

Posts don't count here?

This new forum makes me feel like a little black boy who is told to go to the back of the bus and stay here with other segregated little black boys not fit to be in "General Public".

Indeed, what's wrong with debate and controversy on front page? They drive progress. Silence is stagnation. When there is no dissent, there is no real freedom. Avoiding or silencing controversy doesn't make the underlying issues go away, it just makes them stay unresolved. I think that this forum has become better since I posted "Token Christianity" super-long thread viewed over 1,000 times. It addressed issues which needed to be addressed.

OK, I suppose I do understand that perhaps most users here don't want to examine issues such as whether Jesus was divine or not or what Buddha has done for you (almost guaranteed to end up with flaming), in which case one certainly doesn't want to "cast pearls before swine".

Do you mean you have never heard of that saying:

Posts don't count here?

I guess I took offense at your wording - posts that "don't count for much no how." I just think, whether you directed that statement at me or someone else, that it was kind of a rude thing to say and irrelevent to whether someone likes to add up their post count or not. I'd hate to think that anyone's posts are good for nothing.

I had no i ntention of starting a flame war when I posted the question. I was merely curious as to what the reasoning was behind the no post count, when I made the post. I see I'm not alone on the thought, also. The question was answered long ago and I was satisfied with it.....so, with that said, I offer my humblest of apologies if you were offended by my rant .... if that's an appropriate wording for my post. LOL... I consider a rant, when someone's all red faced, steam coming out their ears, hair standing on end and typing like a mad man, trying to get his or her point across. Guess I was wrong again... dangit.... and there goes my perfect record of being Mr Nice guy. ( By the way.. I only met one of the above criteria for a good rant. )

Have a good one.

What I meant was that if someone is not posting in the pig pen because the post to the pig pen don't count, then he is lacking conviction. If he felt strongly about the matter he would post it to the pig pen whether it counted or not.

As far as a flame war, no one has called anyone names yet so I don't consider this a war; I hope it is just a misunderstanding because I think we both feel the same way about posting in the pig pen.

The comments I made in the post you took exception to were not directed to your or anyone in particular.

Maybe the overlords are keeping track of who has the most posts in the
"pig pen" to single out later for some "special" recognition? Hope not.

I haven't even bought my truck yet.

Posts don't count here?

If someone already said this I apologize for my lateness:

I think our posts don't count here because they are totally not related to Ford stuff. Also, what does it really matter?

The GC forum posts probably count because:

1. they always have and why change?
2. they are general ideas or stories from people that are strictly "friendly." In other words, we have tons of disagreements here and we're free to talk about them. Why should our disagreements count towards an FTE post count?
3. there are a few Ford threads in the GC forum. There are none (I think) in this one.
4. because the boss man made it that way...so just leave it at that.

Now then that we know our posts don't count here, make a decision for yourself where you'll post from now on. If you want it to count, don't post here. If you don't care if it counts or not, post wherever. I know I've written long posts that didn't count for anything, but I really don't care. I didn't type my post for 1 extra number, I posted it for my opinion on the subject at hand.
