2004 F150 Stick Shift
I went to my local Ford dealer today and asked why the 2004 F150 (new design) will not come with a manual transmission. He hedged a bit and when I suggested to him that the "Heritage" model will overlap with the new model for 2004 it seemed to me that Ford would not want to have a manual in both! His response, they will probably have a manual "option" in 2005!

There will be a manual and V-6 option in the 05. I can inderstand why Ford didnt put a V-6 in the new 150, who would want one. As for the manual, I dont understand why they didnt put it in, unless it wasnt ready to work with the new V-8's.

There is another thread on this topic already. People are disgusted that the Ford F-150, a legendary work tool, will not be offered with a manual transmission. I forget what the thread is titled, but it's on here somewhere.
