Engine Replacement Year Model
Hello everyone. I am new to the Forum. I have a 2004 F150 with a #5 for the 8th digit vin. I need to replace the engine. I have done multiple searches on what is the latest year 5.4 that will interchange. I have not found a definitive answer. The reason is, I have found a low mileage 5.4 out of a 2010 Navigator and need to know if it will play nice in my 2004. I know I will have to use my intake and such. Has anyone done this or can you point me to a link that deals with these swaps.

i did mine and was told it could possibly not work but i was within 2008 mine is a 04.
mine had a intake valve under the intake manifold in the black plastic box.
its in a runs great even dealer thought it wouldnt run but it does its a big job to try for the fun of it.
i got mine for 900 and the cheapest i could find with low millage on it others wanted 1400 plus with double the millage so i took a gamble.
hope if you do the same your just as lucky
