Her folks couldn't wrap Christmas presents in their garage this year, as she is now independent enough to just walk out there and find stuff, so they asked if they could stash incoming Amazon packages in our smaller travel trailer, as well as wrap them in there after hours. I gave her dad a key, and they successfully pulled it all off.
Yesterday, I was in there and found a roll of wrapping paper that had been left behind. Not thinking anything of it, I took it over and left it on their front porch.
Remember, now, it's virtually a MONTH since Christmas.
The kid found it, and immediately recognized it as the same wrapping paper in which all (and only) the "Santa" gifts were wrapped. She thought Mrs. Claus or the elves had left it behind. He dad told her that he thought that it had dropped out of Santa's sleigh, and that Marv had found it.
She has yet to ask me about it, but now I gotta' tell her that's indeed what happened.
Thank goodness for the text messages from her dad!
I spent most of my Sunday shredding old files. I let it get out of hand I guess, time slipped away since the last time I went through the file cabinet. Gave our old shredder a workout too.
I think I need to upgrade, after 10 mins with mine 3 sheets at a time, she overheats and is no where near the end of the pile.
I was telling Pop, we used to drop off boxes at the local high school for a few bucks, which they promised to shred in the future... At least I saw the mobile shred truck on site making a racket. Still, makes you wonder if they ever got a round tuit.
They're still trying to figure out what to do with all the mud. Can't put it on private land. Can't let it enter streams or the sea. Any land you dump it on, it will destroy any existing habitat. Covering landfill layers is a good idea, but I guess there is too much of it to haul very far. Maybe build an island like China does.
