So long story short I was a big gasser guy lost my old truck on to a new project. a 96' f250 CCSB Centurion 7.3L. Just picked it up in June 2017. Truck has PO mods - intake/exhaust, TS6, Rosewood 160/stock injectors, stock turbo, Adrenaline HPOP, Efuel. Has ATS trans w 100k mi that just blew front pump seal despite shifting/working fine. Trying to finalize a solid combo.
Thinking since the trans blew the seal, it's time to sell it off and get a stage II Sam Wyse trans. Then upgrade to new exhaust manifolds while the trans is out.
Not sure what to do with up-pipes/turbo/spyder/intake tubing and injectors.
What would you suggest? Looking for 4-500hp reliable and able to handle all conditions including cold weather.
Stage 1 or 2 injectors, D66 turbo if you keep stock housing, intercooler, HPOP (adrenaline or terminator), 6637 air filter and the other one I see recommended is the S&B intake which I have but don't like, e fuel, and then custom tunes. Should only cost you about the same as a small mortgage.
If you start down this path, don’t waste your money with different turbo housings just spend the coin and get a t4 setup. Big fuel needs big air, you will constantly be fighting EGTs if you don’t.
Mike has pretty much everything you need listed
upgrading to stancor GPR and make sure your GPs are good by ohming them out and use only ford ones
check block heater
check armature clearance on injectors ( too little retards timing and makes for hard starting )
before spending lots of money, maybe a compression test is a good idea
