After my last fiasco with replacing parts then asking questions I thought I would save time and money by coming here first!! I really do appreciate all of the help I have gotten here!!
So I recently picked up a new (to ME) 1999 Ranger XLT 4.0 automatic 4wd that has no power to the fuel pump? there is no codes stored (thats what the OBDI 2 tester I borrowed from a friend says)
Where do I start looking for issues at
What I have done so far is to charge the Battery and turn the key on.
Did not hear the fuel pump run before cranking engine has no fuel pressure at the rail.
Any help is appreciated
Hope y'all have a wonder filled new year
check the relay under the hood in power distrobution box,,,,,might try swapping it with a relay you know that works,,,like horn if horn works,,,,then you can try the fuel pump relay in horn just to be sure,,,also there is a switch for wreck or rollover usually under passenger side kick panel or in floor just below glove box depending on year,,,has a reset button on it
agreed, first step is the easy stuff. you could also cheat and see if you can find a way to put power (just to test) if the fuel pump is in working condition.
