92f350 won’t start unless pop started

The motor turns over and shows on the rpm tachometer the motor is moving but will not start. I can hear the fuel pump kick on when I turn the key but. When I pop start it it fires up with no issues.?!?!?!?

Usually means the starter is sucking all the juice out of the system or the start side of the ignition system isn’t getting power. Check for spark while cranking.

Changed the starter. Night and day, it cranks over fast now. Have spark, but the plugs were extremely worn and gapped at like .095+, new plugs tommorrow.

Another thing to check is the ignition switch down on the column. In some years they had problems with that thing coming apart. This could make it not have good spark when cranked by the key but be ok when the key is in the run position.
