I'm going to change mine next week. What size socket did you use for the lower filter? OK, I'm lazy, but it's cold! The best place I have found filters for our SDs is https://www.dieselfiltersonline.com

I *think* it was a 3/16 socket. I just was pulling sockets out until one fit. You’ll need a short extension. The plastic shield just pulls back out of the way. I found the water sensor plug to be hard to get off. Make sure to clean the lower housing out.
