Won’t know till I can try it out.On the axle, I looked up the code earlier and it actually is some good news for me. The 4.30s are what I was planning on swapping in anyway so now it is just a matter of a gear swap and locker for the front when I bolt up the 37s. Plus I can take my time and rebuild the second axle and freshen it up before I swap it in.

Member Scott51 in this thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...rsions-42.html (post #1649 and some after that) is rolling on 37"s and only 4" of lift. He did trim his bumper bottom corners a bit to fit them.
That BDS info doesn't seem to add up, 6" up front and replacing the 2" stock block with a 5" block to get a level ride? Seems about 2" or 3" too low for the rear if those fronts are really 6".........

My bad, I double checked and there is an add-a-leaf in addition to the replacement 5” block to get the whole thing level. So I might be running a taller block after all. I do intend on replacing the bumpers with off-road type bumpers that should allow me some additional clearance without trimming anything. I dont like to trim anything if I don’t have to.

This what my rig has on it right now. Its a BDS lift of unknown height/origin, but if I had to guess, its somewhere around 6-8in to fit 35in tires. Rides pretty rough, so its all coming off. The front springs have 10 leaves and the rear is riding on a 5.5in block (no traction bars) and 6 leaves. I couldn't finish my swap before leaving on vacation this summer, so when I put the rear back together, I removed the bottom/shortest leaf from each side. Didn't notice any rear sag once hooked up to my little toyhauler. Had about 700 lbs TW when we left to go camping. The last pic shows what little sag I had, if any, when loaded up.

Not sure. My parents have moved into my guest home and have taken over 4 of my 5 garages, as well as a large portion of my shop. I hate hauling all my tools, air compressor, jacks and stands from the shop up to my driveway in order to get the job done. Considering that I'm in Montana and its winter, I'm not likely to get started until the snow melts......maybe March?

That’s understandable, gives me time to plan what all I’m going to do. I don’t particularly like working on my cars out in the cold either.....and my cold and your cold are vastly different...
