Front Spring codes
I already looked at the FAQ post and Decipher Your Vin post and couldn't figure this out. I have an '04 with a VS spring code on the door. A friend of mine has VB in a '99 truck. I'm not using my factory front springs. Would my factory springs be stiffer in his truck? I think the V is the front spring and he and I have different rears but I'm not 100% sure so I'm asking.....

The front GAWR should be the same and the rear GAWR will be different. Look at the door sticker on each truck for the weights.

Well, I can tell you that V is a 5200 lbs front leaf spring (4x4) and that B is a 6830 lbs rear leaf spring, but because I am a dumb red neck who is illiterate and cannot find the letter "S" in my manual, well I can't tell you what S is but it's probably something juicy but the same as a B.
