Left MA for VA to buy a 80.5k sticker paid 67.5K on '17 F350 plat dually CCLB, 6.7L, FX4, 14k GVWR, Rapid Heat, block heater, snow plow prep, 5th wheel prep, cameras, upfitter, spray liner, ultimate pkg. Got a $500 rebate on the way from a silly card that came in the mail. Did not get any extended warranties. Picked her up just a couple weeks ago.
Ok, I know this isn't the point of the thread, but I'm going to the dealership tomorrow to hopefully trade, and I'd love yall's opinion on the deal.
Truck is a 17 350 CC DRW XLT 4x4 PSD. Deal I have in writing is:
MSRP $58,220.00
Price after rebates/discount 48,500.00
Tax 1,231.94
Doc Fee 699.00
"Non Tax Fee" (tag and title?) 508.95
Total OTD 50,939.89
Trade 33,000.00
Of note: this is $3000.00 more than anyone else has offered for the trade, but they haven't seen it in person yet. I'm thinking that if they live up to their offer for my trade, I'm gonna take it.
A week ago I bought a 350 lariat ultimate long bed srw for $59,500 before tax/title/licensing. Not sure all the shopping was worth my time but I am happy since I got to stay in So Cal. About $9750 off msrp with incentives.
I understand that this is a totally inappropriate question. But if you choose to answer, I paid just over $38k for my ’17 F-250 XL 4x4 with cab lights, upfitters, electronic 4x4 Switch on the fly, snow plow package, and nothing else. Seats, windows, locks, etc. are all manual. I love my truck, and I knew I’d be beating it up a little bit. For those who like nicer things and might not be working it as hard, I’m interested in the price range from my stripper to the fully optioned, all boxes checked trucks. This might be fun...
I just bought a 2017 F-350 XL. I paid $37, 240. It has the STX appearance package, 430 rear end, snow plow and towing packages, FX4, Back up camera, sync, power windows/doors, running boards, roof clearance lights, uplifters, electronic 4X4, and a few more I can't think of right now. I thought I would have to get an XLT to get the options I wanted, but this truck worked out well for me. I drove it home from the dealer Wednesday in the dark. It's been in my new garage since. I'll get a chance to look it over today. Oh, and I love the Blue Jeans Metallic!
This is why threads like this can be awfully misleading, not that Cavalier240 did anything wrong. But $500 in taxes does not make for an apples-to-apples comparison when most are paying 5-7% state sales tax on a $70k purchase. A true comparison would be final negotiated price + all dealer fees, and leave out the TTL

^^ Agreed. Since everyone lives in a different jurisdiction with different tax rates and varied costs for registration, the numbers before TTL are what is of interest for comparison purposes. BTW, some jurisdictions have a sales tax rate of as much as between 8 and 10%! And then here and there is the rare jurisdiction with no sales tax.

If you don't mind me asking, what dealer was this? I am trying to find the best price and don't mind driving to VA.
Just ordered an 18 F350 CCSB SRW Platinum 6.7 with an MSRP of $80,985. Negotiated price is $74,504 + rebates at time of delivery. Currently, there is a $1000 rebate which would be applied at delivery (not currently factored in negotiated price), however, fingers crossed for a better rebate in Feb/March!
