'64 - '66 styleside 8' bed stake pockets?

'64 - '66 styleside 8' bed stake pockets?
Just wondering if anyone has any insight on why the center stake pocket is not centered betwen the front and rear.

I have never noticed that. It is more proof that you can learn something every day, if you pay attention.
You probably know those bolts are wrong. The 7/16" carriage bolt is relatively hard to find in any length; I believe I have used long bumper bolts with chromed caps on the heads. Maybe the originals were cad plated; I don't think they were galvanized. Chad will have a few hundred of them NOS!
