Doors wont open?

2010 F150 crew xlt.

Back doors wont open .

Front electric locks work , back doors when you pull up on door locks they still wont open.

Im wondering if its something to do with the child lock seeing how neither door will open?
Have the panel off part way on the drivers door and can see in there , but still no luck?

Are the child locks engaged? Its on the door when you open it down on the side by the latch mechanism.

The child lock only affect the interior handle not opening the doors. You can always open the door from the outside, assume it's unlocked.

Someone else had this problem within the last year....They had to break the lock mechanism and replace it. I can't remember if it was on this forum or another but I do remember them having to do that.

Had this same issue in 3 trucks. You have to replace the electric actuator. Roll the window down, gently pull upwards on the lock post and simultaneously press unlock on the keyfob. This will get you in the door. It will also allow the actuator to grab and bypass the bald spot on the gear.

Replacement of the actuator is the only solution. From what I can tell the failure is actually caused from manually unlocking the rear doors by pulling the post upward. The actuator allows the gear to skip teeth which creates the bald spot. This is caused by impatient rear passengers lol.

Ive tried that with no luck.
Got door panel off after lots of work and some breakage , still cant get it open.
You would think you could manually unlock it once you get inside?

Ill cut the door out one piece at a time if I have too....................

Then the other one comes next , hard to say how much is going to be left of this one?

If you got the door panel off you should be able to peel off the plastic sheet that is glued on and reach around up inside and find the lock rod and push it up. Weird though how it's both rear doors at one time.
