Mini Maxx tuner question

Hello all,
My truck has just recently been deleted with sinister diesel EGR delete kit and 4” cat back pipe. Standard muffler and K&N air filter. ( still using factory air box). Truck is 2012 w/ 88,000 miles.
Question is with the Mini Maxx tuner. It apparently has 4 tunes - stock, tow, street and performance. I use the truck as everyday driver. I’m not hard on it and was wondering the best setting for everyday driving. Occasionally I tow my boat which is around 8,500 lbs. so what settings would you all recommend for everyday driving and also for towing the boat. Thanks in advance for your help.

I leave the tow tune in all the time. I’d ditch the K&N, the stock flows well enough.

I deleted at 700kms, ran it in stock until 5000kms, but have been in hot as a daily ever since and I’m at 98k kms. It’s gets great mileage when I drive with a light foot. I’m not hard on it but do enjoy being spirited at times.
Towing should be in tow, it won’t take long to start bouncing off defueling EGT limits.

For the time it takes to switch with sct, I just loaded tow tune and have left it at that.

The mini maxx is sotf. No time to switch, just a push of a button. So going from street to tow is no big deal.

When I first got the mini maxx, I used street as my DD. I had a 500 mile drive a couple weeks ago and decided to test the fuel mileage.

To my surprise the performance setting got the best fuel mileage. I was getting 22mpg with all highway miles.

So I have been using performance as my DD now. I am averaging 18mpg and I don't have a light foot either. I could probably get 19/20 out of it if my wife was driving it.

Hey longrange1971. You'll have to get to know your tuner to see what's best for you. I like power when I need it, which seems always lol. I keep it up as high as I can. Towing, I just let off on it and watch the temps. You have to monitor temps, that's all that matters. I've run mine on race from day one and now I have over 100k miles. Reliable too. Just my two cents.
