Testing a steering wheel column
Okay so I wanted to switch over my non tilt non cruise steering column in my 94 F150 to a tilt with cruise control. I pulled a column from a junkyard along with the master cylinder, linkage and servo.I tested to steering wheel while it was on the truck and it turned pretty smoothly but the ignition lock cylinder is definitely broken. It has the key but it turns left and right. It also doesn't lock but is that because the cylinder is broken? Is there a way for me to test this steering wheel before I start ripping out a perfectly good one and have a nightmare of a situation with a non-working truck. Thanks.
