Because the loctite 545 is made of gold, any of you got a plan B? Have you had good results with just trusting the oring to seal? I have an AN orb fitting on the head with just the oring sealing it up and no leaky for 6yrs. Not sure if it'll be same result on the hoop. Replacing the outings because I found 1 blown out....btw, buddy had spare hpop lines made with fittings for 95.00otd👍
That one in the pump only gets twerked to 25 ft lbs, the threads are very weak. Therefore, you will need to get it operating room clean and use loctite on it.
Yeah, I hit up diesel orings site, and if I can find it, I have the 680 from the cabinet kit from years back. Still have them hpop orings.
. Found a thread from 07, with Springerpop using 242 on the back hpop plug. Still think it's holding today. Seems like a good idea to remove the hpop and give it a 1 over with outings, locker and a new non service plug....i wonder if climate plays havoc on these things. Knock on wood, but my l99(lived in CA) all its life, has yet to leak
