Rpm
I think I get what you're asking. The intake and 4 barrel will let your engine breath a little easier...to get higher rpms. The trouble will happen when you exceed your valve train's ability to cycle....things will start to float and lose contact, engine will run whacky, etc and things might come loose, break and get ugly if pushed above 5000. And if you're on the original valve train, probably should keep it below 4000.
I run a lot of freeway miles at a steady 2800-3000 rpms on a new valve train.
An on each left & right sides cable length is different.
The 1973 & up will not fit either.
I paid $90 for one cable an the other $45 other one on ebay.
The Green Sales is where, I got mine.
These cables are in demand an rare to find any NOS.
It took me over a yr of checking ebay to find my first one, then about a yr later for the second cable that got for $45 as, I was the only bidder for it.
ND=Bill gave me the P/N for each cables

RPMs, as it’s been said, the taller the tire the less RPMs you will run. On the plus side, it also changes the rpm curve and you can get a little more out of it if you can help it breath. Headers/exhaust for exhale, carb/intake/tall breather for inhale.
Is the tranny auto or manual?
way rather would of worked
I tried double clutching when downshifting and noticed a difference. I must not of noticed the first time because usually I get my rpms matched up as best I can anyway . This time I tried double clutching without touching the gas and it was way smoother than not double clutching. Thanks Orich , I was actually going to buy the 2wd cables from Napa tomorrow. Would of been a surprise when I got things pulled apart and realized they were the wrong part
is there a way to “dry fit “ the cables without pulling my brakes apart ? It’s manual teachnlive, I’m not real concerned about dropping my rpms or getting more out of them ( unless I should be )if I upgrade some parts like headers and exhaust and it improves that’s great , I was asking only to make sure I wasnt damaging my engine by running it to high . My cables are not broken or unraveled ...there all together missing.
