Regearing question!
So I'm looking at a set of 99 super duty axles to swap onto my 1992. It's a Dana 60 with 3.73s, I would want to put 4.10s or 4.56s preferably in it, am I able to put the 4.10 or 4.56 gears on the 3.73 carrier? Just trying to find out before I buy them because 3.73s are no good to me and I don't want to replace the whole carrier front and rear. Any help is appreciated!

If you go to 4.10s you'll be fine. 4.56s you'll need to order the thick gears. Thick gears use a thicker ring gear so you can run lower numerically higher 4.56 -5.38 gear ratios with the 4.10 and down carrier. Otherwise you need to buy a 4.56 up carrier.

If it is from a 99 it may be a Dana 50, make sure of this before you order gears. If it is a Dana 50 it doesn't have a carrier break. The Ford 10.5 doesn't have a carrier break either so no need to buy a new one unless you want a locker.
