Spyder LED Headlights for '99-'04 Super Duty

Found these and was wondering if anyone here has installed them. If so, thoughts in install, quality, and light output vs stock oem.

Also, were mods to header panel necessary? It appears these are a direct fitment other than electrical connectors/plugs needing to be swapped.

Not ready to tackle an 05 headlight upgrade due to having to install or modify header panel, cost, etc.

I was hoping to get something that would substantially improve my light output over my current stock oem lights and be able to use a plug and play headlight with little to no mods. Do these Spyder LED sfit the bill?

Thoughts?

It appears after reading some of the reviews, mods/cutting are necessary to fit them. If correct, may not be worth the effort....may as well go with the 05 headlights if mods/cutting is necessary.

I ran spyders in both an 06 and an 08. They worked well but fit n finish was a bit off in both. Only 3 out of 4 bolt holes lined up in both lights. I had this problem with recons as well though. I would buy them again.

No experience with them on the F250, but quality was sub-par on my previous 2nd Gen Toyota Tacoma.

If you're looking for the brightest output possible without annoying oncoming drivers, you should wire the headlights to run off of a dedicated relay straight from the battery with heavier gauge wire and then use a slightly brighter regular bulb.

Something like this:

There's a thread on the same subject somewhere on this board. I did it on my '92 and dod not see much improvement. However, I did not use the bright Off Road Osram bulbs either as were used in the link.

Just looking for an upgraded headlight lens/housing and bulb to improve stock lighting
