It's a 2wd. Would like to find 4 front end for it. What year did they start putting that In the cab? Also any info decoded from the plate would be very helpful.

If like to convert it to 4wd. Preferably with the shifter in the cab. But they didn't start doing that til the 70s. I don't even know if they would be compatible

Do you mean auto hubs? The 4wd frame on the 66 is different than a 2wd. Best way would be to move the 66 body a newer 4x4 frame.

I have two factory 1966 F250 4x4 trucks with the shifter in the cab. You might be thinking of the hubs that you have to jump out to engage.

These first two are locking hubs and the 3rd one is the "Lock-o-matic" style. You have to manually engage them all. The "Lock-o-matic" will lock and unlock automatically when in the locked position - or you can unlock them for highway use.

Yep. That's what I was thinking. I was told you had to manually lock em in on that vintage. So I Need to be looking for a 4x4 frame.

I do not think that "auto" hubs came out until the 90's. You will have to look for a kit that will go onto a older axle.

F25 = F250 2WD

Y = 352 2V

K = Kansas City MO Assembly Plant.

848785 = 1966.

129" Wheelbase.

M = Wimbledon White.

F250 2WD; 7,500 lbs. GVWR

E81: E = Red Crush Vinyl & Red Cody Pattern Woven Plastic / 81 = 81B Custom Cab.

A = New Process 435 4 Speed Manual Transmission.

24 = Dana 60 Rear Axle / 4.10-1 / 5,200 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

7,500 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

172 net HP @ 4,000 RPM

532458:

53 = Kansas City MO Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

Be aware that 1965/66 F250 4WD's use a completely different engine mounting system than 2WD's.
