I need advice on buying and installing an after market remote start on a
2015 F250 ,6.2 gas, XLT trim.
Thought I had it on the new truck order, but got missed on the build.
go to reputable remote start installer in your area, not a best buy. Get a two way starter, if you can afford it, get one that is controlled by an app on your phone. They should be able to answer any questions, they deal with this stuff everyday. You will like after market way better if you want longer range. I have a cheap pro start on my old nissan, i can start it 4 blocks away and it was parked in the garage. Lots of good brans out there, such as viper
Check with Ford, when I bought my used Flex 2012. I asked about remote start. It had to be hard wired into harness, I thought they told me any Ford newer than 2013 had a plug and play wiring in vehicle for remote start.

If it is a Smart Key truck, remote start can be done with a $50 module using the factory fobs. Install takes 30 minutes using only 7 wires to connect to the vehicle: http://images.idatalink.com/corporat...N_20170526.pdf
Does it plug in to existing plugs or do I need to splice each of those wires it shows on your link? Also the link goes up to 2017 only and we know by other issues that the 2018 has different wiring ( TBC for example uses a different controller than 2017 and earlier ).
https://www.tascaparts.com/ That's were I bought mine. Came with new key I had cut and programed the key head myself. Ford dealer plugged truck into there system and turned it on. No cutting splicing, Install was easy. Clips holes plugs and everything right were it's supposed to be.

I also ended up buying an OEM part but from Fairway Ford. No splicing either and it uses my factory key fobs too.
I used an MPC remote start for my 2011 and it works well and was very easy to install and best of all no trips to ford to have anything programmed/enabled.
