AFTER MARKET REMOTE START

go to reputable remote start installer in your area, not a best buy. Get a two way starter, if you can afford it, get one that is controlled by an app on your phone. They should be able to answer any questions, they deal with this stuff everyday. You will like after market way better if you want longer range. I have a cheap pro start on my old nissan, i can start it 4 blocks away and it was parked in the garage. Lots of good brans out there, such as viper

If it is a Smart Key truck, remote start can be done with a $50 module using the factory fobs. Install takes 30 minutes using only 7 wires to connect to the vehicle: http://images.idatalink.com/corporate/Content/Manuals/RS-FM8/OEM-AL(RS)-FM8-[FLCAN]-EN_20170526.pdf

https://www.tascaparts.com/ That's were I bought mine. Came with new key I had cut and programed the key head myself. Ford dealer plugged truck into there system and turned it on. No cutting splicing, Install was easy. Clips holes plugs and everything right were it's supposed to be.
