does the electric 4x4 go through the gem???

ESOF transfer Case Control Module/Motor Actuation goes though the GEM.

A modula that controls the 4x4 system it has three plugs.

I believe in 2001 the GEM is part of the CJB(central junction box) the fuse box by your knees. In 2002 the GEM is located behind the fuse box.
