When I have fuel in rear and front tank and I switch to use the front tank the fuel in the rear ends up in the front. This is a 1996 f150 Eddie Bauer 5 speed standard cab. Where do I look first for the problem?
Fuel transfer is a very common problem on these trucks. We see this issue posted at least 2-3 times a week recently. The tank that is getting filled, in your scenario the front, has a bad valve in the Fuel Delivery Module. The fix is to replace the entire front FDM.
