Blend door actuator?

Thinking this might be my issue, but not 100% sure. Thought I'd ask and get opinions

Heat blows out strong on the defrost setting or floor setting if it's on one or the other. If you set it to the defrost/floor setting I lose the high force of air coming out. Almost to the point you think you turned it off. Same on the floor/dash vent setting. Go to dash vent alone and it comes back full force. Did a quick search and did not come across a definite thread with this description.

Sounds like you are on the right track if the vent location is changing, but not to your satisfaction. You might want to try pulling the blend door actuator out and cleaning it before purchasing a new one. They are fairly cheap though and do not take long to swap out.

Mine does this as well, always has. I thought it was due to the fact that it's splitting the air over two directions thus reducing the velocity. ??

The other trucks I've had is at a reduced air flow, but this one now pretty much comes to a stop. This is also something new that just started.

Thanks sous, I seen that video when I was searching earlier. I'll probably replace that and inspect and post back results as soon as I can get to it

No worries, I had it saved when I was trying to figure out my A/C issues. Let us know what the results of the repair are.
