Guys,,,what can I lower my tire pressure to without any bells and whistles going off???,,,17 250 cc 8ft box,,,I read alot here and seems like more often then not Guys are winding up with trip to dealer and I would like to avoid that
I have a F350. Lowered my tire pressures to 60 psi. The "nanny" tells me that the rears are too low. I haven't had a chance to re-inflate them yet so I'm not sure how high I'll have to go to turn it off.
I think you can go down approximately 20 psi before the warning goes off.
Not my experience. Went from stock 275/65R18 (factory sticker says 70 psi front/75 rear) to 325/65R18 (sidewall says 65 psi max, they came out of the tire shop with 61 - 62). With this 9-14 psi drop, the low pressure warning was indeed lit up.
Changed the setting to 60/60 in FORScan. All good now.
I think you're right...mine this morning read 54 on the front and 59 on the rear. Low pressure did not chime and my thresholds are set at 60 front and 65 rear. Ambient temps were -6 Celsius this am.
