We just finished doing work in Ellen Degeneres's house up near Carpenteria, and learned today that she has evacuated. We also did work in Oprah's home and she has been told to evacuate.

A girl at work was given a mandatory evac order, refused, and saved her house. She said the helicoptors were hitting the flames with pinpoint accuracy, just far enough away to sprinkle water on the house but hit the fire with a tremendous force.

We were working on Scenario Lane when the Skirball fires were starting and caught this pic of them rewatering. There were 2 helicopters coming in fairly frequently all day.

The Bel air fire was caused by a homeless encampment.

Really, man that’s a shame , the homeless up have been starting dumpster fires , the first temp shelter opened three days ago , but only 1/4 full , I think I read the Carpenteria Fire was 17% contained, thanks for the post

The Thomas fire may have been caused by some work being done on some Edison equipment according to them themselves.

The Thomas fire seems destined to continue until it runs outta fuel.

Just found out my fav shooting range, Angeles, burned down. They say they will rebuild right away, but I think that may be wishful thinking.

Now the only reasonable alternative will be Burro Canyon, and it will be even more over crowded.

Sorry to hear that Bill, I’m sure once the smoke clears ( no pun intended) Rebuild will come, our gun club last year was under water for most of the year, we all went out after things Dried out and shoved mud out of the buildings .
