Mom needing help!

OK, so our 15 year old son worked all summer and bought a 1975 Ford truck with his earnings. He is picking it apart, piece by piece and restoring it. Next up is the seat. He's been to all of the local U-Pull yards with no luck. He wants to replace the seat entirely. Any clues where to start looking?

Craigslist.

Also, there is also another thread talking about seats, check it out. It mentions what other years fit.

Where are you located? Maybe someone close can help.

Tell him to join, we definitely take time out for our younger members.

Welcome to FTE

Also, any bench seat up to 96 will bolt in using the original brackets.

Welcome to FTE, you should join the FTE SC state chapter. And see if you can get a local lead on a seat and or a JY in your area. X2 on Craigslist.

Chapter here. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum183/

Has he been here yet? Next Generation forum 15-25 year old. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum177/

But no worries you both are both welcome here. Here is a current discussion of this very topic with pics. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...r-78-79-a.html

Up to a 96 will bolt right in using the original tracks. And 80's/90's seat will have a fold down arm rest. Rear seat from a 01 Super Duty will fit.

I also seen where one person had taken a seat from 04-08 F150, which i am really interested in trying to do(Black Leather, heated and full electric). It required some sort of adapting but sounded simple all the same.
