Just curious...but how much would a stock 351M be worth? It has 183,000 miles and runs very strong.

Four years ago I paid $500 for a 351M from a wreck. It included everything, carb to pan including air cleaner housing,P/S pump, exhaust and even the C6 trans and driveline plus the frame mounts. Then realized I couldn't use it. :-(

But that sucker wouldn't let me have the 9" lol.

Just about any engine from a junk yard is atleast $500 With that many miles though personally I'd hold off for a lower mile 400. Unless the price was very cheap

$500 seems like way to much to me for an old engine. A newer (less than 30K) name brand rebuild engine with paperwork might be worth that much.

An engine with 183,000 is only good as a possibly rebuildable core if it is all original. If it has been rebuilt or reworked sometime in it's history it is scrap metal. It may have already been bored and the crank reground and not rebuildable again.

Thanks guys. I was thinking about 300-400 with the transmission. Like I said before, it runs strong and doesn't burn oil but it can use a good rebuild I'm sure.

I'm the second owner and I know the original owner so I can say it's been well taken care of. I'm just starting to think about selling my ride for something that gets alittle better gas mileage. I like the supercab but 12.5 mpg is just too low for me.
