Changed out the coolant in my '13 6.2 and was wondering what is the proper tool to use to check the freeze/boil point? I did a 50/50 mimixed it in a separate container so I know the mixture is equal) and it's supposed to be good down to -34 but I'd like to check to make sure. I thought I read somewhere that the Orange coolant takes a special tool to check than the old green stuff.
Ford Workshop DVD list the ROBINAIR Coolant/Battery Refractometer RA75240 as their preferred method for testing the coolant concentration. I have one. It is quick and easy to use. Might be a bit pricey for most seeing how you do not use it often.
