I just put new up pipes on my truck (1995 single cab f250 zf5) and switched to a 1.0 housing this weekend (what a PITA) and now Ive got a vibration at idle that is pretty loud and I can feel it, and it seems like it is coming from the where the firewall is bc the dash is making a vibration sound too. I had a slight vibration problem before I tore into the turbo and up pipes but now its a lot more noticeable. I only here it at idle, and I still have it whether I have the clutch engaged or not. Where should I check for? Should I be looking to see if the down pipe is touching somewhere/ if the up pipes are touching? Please suggest places to look/ check over.
Sounds to me like the DP is touching the firewall. You'll have to get under the truck and look up through from down below. You really want to have at least 1/2" of clearance al the way around so things can move a little when the engine is under torque.
Yup I got under there to find that I was missing a exhaust hanger/clamp after the cab. Does anyone know where to get just the hangers, I did a quick search and don't see anything. I have a 4 inch straight pipe and I'm not 100% sure what it is but I have a MRBP tip so I think its a MRBP exhaust
