I have three Magic Air controls; 2 came out of 1960 Custom Cab 2wd trucks and 1 came out of a 1960 4x4 Custom Cab. The 2wd ones are the same with silver face and black painted outer surround. The 4wd one has white face, black letter area and full chrome surround. Is the difference because it came out of a 4wd?
You might want to look at some 59s. My guess is the 4x4 might be the 59 version. I only say this because I got in a lengthy discussion once about my 69 highboy having an earlier inside rear view mirror and the conclusion was only the 4x4 got that mirror in 69.
My 59 F100 4x4 has the magic air and I will have to double check but I think it has the white version on the left. Next time I am near the truck I will try to take a pic and compare.
