Rear armrest issue

The fold down armrest in the middle back seat will not stow properly. When flipped up the top edge stickes out a little over an inch. This results in the seat bottom not being able to lock into position when folded up leaving it to slam down when braking.

It’s an armrest. Seems like pretty straight forward operation, but is there something I’m missing here!?

This has been reported by others as well and their dealers were able to fix it.

Does anyone else’s armrest stick out this much? Dealer said it is the same on all the trucks and I didn’t have time to argue since I was leaving for the holidays. Can someone post a pic of what theirs looks like?

I don't have a picture handy, but I can assure you, my arm rest fits flush inside the recess.

Several others have had this issue and their dealers took care of it. Your dealer doesn't know what he is talking about.

Yes my rear armrest in my 17 platty does not fold up all the way as well. The dealer tried to fix it a couple times and did get it a little better but still not right. It is a very flimsy armrest too, definitely a down grade from the previous gens armrest/cupholder.
