I just crossed 9K miles, and am at 9% oil life remaining as indicated by Forscan lite.
I do not see a "Change Engine Oil Soon" message as indicated by the Owner's manual. If I did not have Forscan lite, I would not even know I am below 10%.
Or maybe I am not looking in the correct place for the message? I get a lot of messages when my door is open, collision avoidance inoperable, etc. Is that the same place the message should show up?
I have done 3 oil changes so far, and have never seen a "CHANGE SOON" message. Only "Oil Change Required" No warning, it just pops up with a wrench symbol.

The "Oil Change Required" happens at 0%. What do they expect you to do, pull over and change it right away? I may call the Service center and tell them my warning indicator is not working and see what they say.
My "Change Engine Oil Soon" is when I get close to a 5 or a zero.
I've seen oil after 10,000 miles and it's not pretty....nor is the engine pretty inside after years of this type of neglect. Not worth the expensive repairs down the road. Have a guy with a 2011 6.7L (first year of our awesome engine) who's changed his oil every 5k show you his engine with a valve cover removed (or camera scope), and compare to a guy with the same year and miles, who's changed every 10k miles. Now I can see you Amsoil guys commenting, but you guys aren't included since it's a superior oil.

If you are at a 5 or a zero, you must be running 10,000 miles?
200 hours is a good time to change too. I talked with a guy that worked for a larger city. They changed all the vehicles every 200 hours.
I finally got a response from my dealer. The Service manager said it takes a 5% oil life remaining to trigger the warning, and a 0% to trigger the change now.
What is so hard about showing the oil life remaining during the entire cycle, I am not sure...

No, running 5,000 miles. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, etc... 5s and zeros.
If I go over a few hundred, I still change at the 5s and zeros, not every 5,000 miles from the last oil change....AT the 5,000 odometer mark. Easier to remember and I don't have to write it down, only save my receipts and snap a photo of the odometer as proof.
