I opted for this:https://www.spturboost.com/products/...ombo-1994-2003
This kit comes with the new compressor wheel AND the rebuild kit! I'm not sure if they'll have something for you but the reviews are great and the price point was great too! I haven't been able to install it yet so can't give you first hand review.
Stick to the question I'm asking please, I don' want your opinion of what you think I should do, just give me your thoughts on my question.
We can do that, BUT, the chances of one of us having that particular kit is slim, which means our opinions are not based on facts or firsthand use.
Like you, we all work hard for our money, with that said, we're going to give you opinions on PROVEN performers. If you don't want that then buy the kit you listed and give us your opinion on it. My 2 cents, Good luck.
does anyone feel like this is a legit kit and would work???

I would second z31 on this, if your planing on the future or unknowns I would be personially swapping in the GTP38 turbo, bigger, and better in every sense, it moves more air and is (IIRC) rebuildable.
and remember you ASKED us for our OPINIONS on what you should do (well what we would do in our cases...) now if you are not wanting to have people give there opinions that is cool, your also welcome to do as you see fit but were also free to give you info that you are requesting...
have fun and stay safe and good luck with your build!
PS: I also try to shy away from any thing that is "assemble my self" or that has "some assembly required" especially on things like turbos, that wheel inside is going to be spinning at roughly 5K to 10K+ RPMS and I would rather that be professionally assembled (plus I like to drop things in for ease of install)....but that is just me and how I am...

What question did you ask? "Is it legit" and "would work"? Are you serious? Those are not even real questions, even if we ignore the horrific grammar. They are vague and meaningless. And you wonder why people can't give you a direct answer?

Perhaps, you are one of the few that has posted on here about that kit. Buy it and let us know how it goes.

You got the answer that you were looking for. Adam is a well respected FTE member and knows his stuff about the 7.3. You wanted to know if it was "legit" and if it would "work", Adam summed it up nicely.

Please do let us know, if you are the one to take chances on the parts.

Or maybe we are getting trolled.
Agree with Andy too.
Generally we are of the mindset that if you are going to take the time and effort to do something, get it done right with proven methods and parts. This kit is not proven and looks a bit sketchy, but it is not my money you are spending. If you try it out, let us know how the fit and finish are and what the results of the install were in regards to performance and EGT's.
My opinion is that it is legit because it is real and you would get it in the mail. Would it work, maybe and maybe not. Each truck is a bit different and I think you would see gains with a billet wheel very similar to what you would with the kit you linked.
This kit basically converts your stock turbo to a D66. While it is an upgrade you don't see D66's advertised or talked about much anymore. You also don't see them in anybody's signature. While they do have a large compressor, they are driving it with the stock turbine. There are better performers out there.
For just over $300 this might be worth a shot. As I said, it is an upgrade.
Let us know how it works out.
So, Since I have experience with something similar, which I purchased from DieselSite, I get to offer an opinion.
I order a D66 wheel and machined compressor housing from DieselSite. I installed it on a van turbo (1:15 ex housing) I didn't care for how it spooled up. (very slowly, but was a beast once spooled). Then I went to a 1:00 ex housing....much better, but still not what "I" was looking for. So then I went back to a stock GTP-38 compressor hounsing and a WWII from DieselSite...with the 1:00 ex housing. That combo I like very well.
