So I have a 2018 F150 Lariat with a V8. When accelerating the between 3rd and 5th gears it makes a clunk or more of a pressure sound. Dealer says no normal I say embarrassing. Sounds like coming from the passenger side of the engine. Any ideas?
Make him drive around in a couple of other trucks that are the same as yours to show you it's normal. I have a feeling it's not, but I couldn't help you in what it is.
Mine had a clunk that was happening (IIRC) when downshifting from 5 to 4 "sometimes". Ford applied a fix that was in a service bulletin. They advised me to drive it gently for a bit while it was in learning mode.
