Last night I traded in my F250 Platinum for an F150 Limited. The F250 was too much truck for me living in the city. I love it but there were too many restrictions of where I could go with it.
Ouch. That hurt me just reading your post. Both nice trucks, though. Love the blue interior. You must have not really needed the Super Duty for the trucks payload or towing to make that big of a jump down, so win/win for you. Now you get the more comfortable ride about town, and a cheaper fuel bill to boot. After five months of driving my 2017 F250, I'm kind of thinking I should have stayed with my 2016 F150 King Ranch. Not sure the change was necessary now with our change in trailer plans.
Wow - Its amazing when a F250 is parked next to the F150. The F150 looks so much smaller. I also went from a F250 to current ride, but it didn't feel smaller ?

I have a 5 ton dump trailer and a boat. Its mostly a truck for the cottage. I wasn't using the F250 to its full capacity. With the increased towing capacity in the 2018 F150 it suits me perfectly. I can have stuff in the bed, tow the trailer, and have people inside the cab now. My wife is happy that I went with this as well. Being 5ft tall its easier for her to get in an out of, the baby also sleeps better in the F150.

It feels much smaller to me, I feel like I'm driving an SUV. The cabin doesn't feel as wide and the rear seat leg room seems smaller. It's funny but I also miss that storage area on the dash that said "Super Duty" as well as the 4 cup holders in the front. I'm not a fan of the console gear shifter, I like the column mounted one in the F250.

My son did notice that there was more rear leg room in the 250's we test drove versus the 150's.
I started looking at the 250's, but they are just too tall to fit into my garage. As well, I decided I really didn't need all that extra towing capacity, nor the lesser fuel mileage with the bigger engine. I am happy though with my 150 and it will have its first tow in about a week when I get the camper out of storage.
I thought the new SD's shared the same cab as the f150 now. They don't look the same to me though.
That's what I've read and heard but it doesn't feel like it. Even my wife said it feels smaller inside. I feel as if I can reach inside the glovebox easier. Speaking of, the F150 glove box is thinner and not as deep!
Picked up my new 2018 today after having my 2010 lariat towed over to the dealer with the transmission stuck in OD. I'll miss the old truck, but the new one is sweet. Drives nice, super quiet and significantly better mileage. I'll miss the 6.5' bed here and there, especially after seeing a few in this thread. Oh well.
