The radiator in my 05 excursion has been seeping fluid for quite a while. Not nought to really bother me till the other day I noticed a small puddle under it. I bit the bullet and ordered a Mishimoto from ebay. My question is while replacing the radiator what else do you recommend we change out. Was thinking to replace to upper and lower hose is there anything else? thanks
Before taking the old radiator out I'd give it a good distilled water, only, flush and then new coolant. If running temps are in the 190's to 205 I wouldn't worry about the t-stat. Taking it out however while flushing will speed the job up.
Was going to replace the pulleys and belt at the same time just wasnt sure if the radiator needed a adapter for the tranny lines or if they are a direct fit.
The collision center repairing my '05 Ex (Hurricane Irma: large tree branch landed on roof/hood) has gone through 2 OEM Radiators and is waiting on the 3rd.
The first 2 leaked, hoping 3rd time is the charm.

Dont like doing things twice or three times thats why I ordered a all aluminum radiator, pulleys and belt. Hopefully I can get it all taken care of and not have to deal with it again. Good luck with your radiator.
There were(at one time) some counterfeit Mishi’s on eBay, maybe that’s over now. I bought one from XDP a couple of years ago and have been happy with it. If you have the quick-connect fittings on the radiator lines you will need a specific tool to release them. The fuel line tools you may already have won’t work.

This cheap one works ok.
I hope I didn't get the counterfeit one! I did order it from ebay and it was $358 from Royal Radiators. I will have to look at the connections to see if I will need that tool. It got cold here in Ithaca and didn't feel like messing with it this weekend. Thanks
If you have the stock radiator you'll need the tool to disconnect it. If you can find the tool in metal get it. I broke two of those before I got the metal one. I will say I got aggravated and forced it was why it broke

Thanks! Ill look for some and try to get the metal ones!
Another question. The radiator came with female threaded openings for the transmission lines. I went to the ford dealer and they told me those screw in adaptors they are not available without ordering a new radiator. Are these available or do we have to use the old ones. Thanks
You can re-use whatever is on your old radiator unless they are messed up. They could be pipe/compression style or the quick connect type, which are hard to find. Which style do you have?
