Distributor Reluctor wheel gap
I just got a new distributor/w vacuum advance replacement 13121? for my 77 f100 with 351m, so I decided to recurve since it had the ten slot. Well I broke relucter wheel (cheap cast)trying to put pin from old dist in it because I lost new pin. So I used old wheel which seemed same size but shaft on new dist slightly larger, still managed to get it on. But to the point anyone know how big the gap between reluctor wheel and pickup is suppose to be? It is closer than the old one was. New one is about .035 “ . Old one was probably .1 gap or more. The breaker plate is also warped on new dist. making the magnetic pickup kind of lean in but gap pretty much even since bottom of pickup sticks out of housing more than top? Also the rotor button doesnt click/lock down, easily pulls off.
