Hood Latch interchange

Will a hood latch from a 87-91 swap with a 1996?
I am putting my '96 back together and it looks like it didn't come with a hood latch. The local yard has an '88.
Will it work?

Looking at my NPD paper catalog shows 1 part # for 87-96 hood latch.
