I read that 32 as well on one of them. I agree that seemed too high. The thing I keep coming back to is we're torquing steel into aluminum... right? I don't want to strip out the aluminum... And you're right, the difference between 24-26 and even 27 could be made up with the "bump" of the check torque because it really is almost nothing. I went with 24, and I'll post back if I have a failure. I'm hoping that the prep work clearing the oil was good enough... But thank you all for your input. I love that we can work on these ourselves and keep our trucks running for a fraction of the cost of the shops. and people like y'all are what make this a great forum!
